Event Highlights at Innovation Day: Gaming Ecosystem Hosted by Plug and Play APAC
Another action packed week for FreeCity as we’re consistently growing and making new connections, so we write updates to inform our #FreeCitizens of the recent developments, updates, and other news. So lets begin!
On Tuesday, the 2nd, we participated at the Innovation Day: Gaming Ecosystem Hosted by Plug and Play APAC! We had an amazing time and we met numerous people at the event, we met people from the community members, journalists, KOLs, industry leaders, investors, and many others who joined the event.
The event was a meaningful opportunity to share the achievements and future plans of FreeCity to the world of Metaverse, SocialFi, crypto, and blockchain ecosystem.
The event started by an introductory message from the Managing Partner of Plug and Play APAC, Mr. Jupe Tan. He then followed by Mr. Luke Ng, the Director and Head of Channel & Ecosystem, APAC Gaming META. The Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Upland.me, Mr. Dirk Leuth was able to answer some questions from the viewers via Zoom.
To give you a brief background about Upland.me, it’s the earth’s metaverse mapped to the real world and accessible via web, iOS and Android. In addition, there is a “real economy” that is sustained by the players via the market forces of supply and demand. Upland is built on the basis of three key pillars: Play, Earn, & Connect. What is OKX?

OKExChain is an independent blockchain built by crypto exchange OKEx. It uses the Cosmos SDK framework and relies on Tendermint Proof-of-Stake (PoS) for network security. OKEx’s long-term goal for OKExChain is to serve as an exchange-backed smart contract platform akin to Binance Smart Chain.
